Meet Brenden

Brenden is a candidate for City Council who wants to bring fresh ideas, listen to the residents, and be a voice for the people of Garden City. Having chosen to plant his roots in the community where he purchased his first home, he immediately became a part of the community. Talking to neighbors who express dissatisfaction with the City’s current direction, he quickly developed a vision to grow Garden City into a thriving community that employs its full potential by soliciting for unique businesses to take the place of vacant storefronts in the downtown area and attracting new residents to combat a decline in population. He will demand a transparent government that will be held accountable by those who it represents.

Brenden is a dedicated public servant who is no stranger to local government. He works in the Clerk’s Office for a neighboring community where he serves as his Local TPOAM Union President as well as having spent a year on Garden City’s Recreation Commission. Coupled with the connections he has made with various elected officials through his community organizing, Brenden has the experience and resources needed to be an effective Councilman. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, Brenden understands the importance of embracing diversity and different ideas, which is why he will not silence other voices and will foster a welcoming community. He believes that together we can plant new seeds and grow Garden City.
